The Northern Traverse™ follows Wainwrights' classic Coast-to-Coast route for 300km across the north of England through three national parks to an iconic end at Robin Hood’s Bay. Here, ultra runners bathe in their incredible accomplishment—and sometimes in the sea! There are emotional reunions with loved ones, smiles, and the odd pint from the pub across the slipway. After days of grinding effort, this is the moment to stop, pause, and reflect on a life-affirming journey.
At the time of writing, the 2025 Northern Traverse™ has already sold out, but there are some entries remaining for the Lakes Traverse™, Dales Traverse™, and Moors Traverse™.
